Andy Horner's Speech on Joan and Premier- Philly Rally 2011
Andy:
Regjoicing in Pain that Joan didn't suffer and is with God.
She stopped working only seven days before passing. The perfect number.
God give us people to help us to become who we are to become. (Friends, family, loved ones, even enemies)
"She was more than my wife, she was my wife and my encourager."
WIR: What is right?
WIB: What is Best?
WWR- We will remember.
Remember your Queen.
Remember to Count it all Joy.
Remember to keep it personal.
We will never forget our Queen Mother and what she meant to us and wonderful she was.
40 thousand people in Premier in January 2011.
42 years in direct sales, with Johnson Wax and Home Interiors.
Created Premier to get mom's back in the home.
Reason for Premier:
1.) So many moms have to work, where we want them to be able to stay at home and work in Premier.
This helps moms get back in the home.
25th anniversary- moms are telling him that they can now stay home and are thanking him for Premier.
2.)Single moms and parents saying there is life after divorce and death. Make money and spend time with your kids.
We want to love them and care for them and support them as single parents.
3.)Part time for school teachers, christian workers, etc.
4.) Missionaries- 63 countries are effected by Premier building schools, hospitals and other needs are provided for.
Helping charities around the world.
Most businesses are all about the profit, and you gotta have profit, but it's not the main focus.
First OP was in Joan and Andy's house.
First OP, no one was interested. First show was about 200.00 and 45 items to sell.
God was in it, and we never gave up.
1990 was the betrayal. It was five years in, and between the management, who left and started a new company and took about half of the people.
STILL, Andy and Joan never gave up. God gave them strength and focus.
It was a struggle, but God took care of them and gave them growth.
God gets all the glory for the ideas for the futures. Greatest opportunities we've ever head. Our country is in a place that has the
greatest needs, and God will use Premier to help meet those needs. We're not looking back, but looking forward into our next 25 years.
Joan's ideas for business.
Keep it Personal.
Count it all for Joy.
Be good to your hostesses, and they'll be yours for life. Share with women that they're worthy and valuable. People don't understand
how worthy and valuable they are. Have self-esteem and confidence to better their lives.
Make a promise and keep it. God will use it for your good.
Be thankful and thank God for what he's doing. Pray A LOT and all of the time.
Our hostess plan and business plan, our philosophy has been with us for 25 years!
Bible was the operational manual for Premier. Joy from the bible- which gives us strength in weaknesses.
IF the bible won't change, as it has for thousands of years, it won't be altered.
TRUTH and INTEGRITY is in our company, as we find in Premier.
We have an educational experience, we teach how to clean your jewelry, where to wear it, how to mix it, we teach.
You'll get smiles and joy. It will be a serving evening.
It's not about what you sell, it's about how much you serve.
There's never a bad show. Messure your show around how many lives you touch, not the money they made.
We have LOVE. Love is magnetic and helps others.
We have HOPE, for ourselves and to give to others.
25 years we've not changed anything. We want you to make money and you can, but we want you to make a life. PLan your
priorites. Relationship with the Lord, your family, then your business. Don't allow this business to cause problems in your family.
We've been on mountain peaks, and in valleys, and we know that God will provided us for the next 25 years.
There is no other company that we know of that has a Queen, and we thought Andy would become King. He didn't want to push for it, but
he thought it would come naturally. However, the Queen was so powerful, we didnt need a queen.
Keep it Personal Devotional by Joan:
Do it daily, as she will talk to us forever with her spirit.
Proverbs 31- A Wife of Noble Character
It had to be right, honest and true. Didn't play games and was always true.
Her husband had full confidance in her. She brings him good, not harm all days of her life.
She opens her arms to the poor, she extends her hands to the needy, to her children, they call her blessed.
Her husband praises her night and day.
Keep it Personal
A huge benefit goes with it. Premier makes it personal. It pulls people into the company, as we care about others.
It means you are a person and you are not an object. We care about you and won't use you.
You can't care about people without them responding. We tell them that we love them and it's what we built this company on.
You have to get it, keep it personal and enrich every life you can touch. Cout it all joy!
Joy is our strength.
Count it all Joy. You can't recapture the past joy, buty you have to make your future joyful.
Don't look back, but look forward.
People need acceptance and want to belong. Help others feel that love and help them realize that they want to become
part of the family of Premier.
Don't worry about making money, but keep it personal and count all joy.
You'll get no's, but don't give up.
Joan and Andy could have given up, when they were betrayed, but God used that difficult time, and made them stronger.

Premier's Alcohol Policy and Why- Bob Bolander- Philly Rally 2011
Alcohol Policy:
Some thought that's different and weird.
Wow, I appreciate that. Two perspectives of that.
We want a perceptions of appreciate. We have some who don't drink at all, and some put vodka on their cherrios.
Appreciate the experience of others, as Andy's father was abusive and alcoholic. We can appreciate that experience.
I can put myself in the shoes of others and understand why policy is in effect.
We can understand the company to provide a safe environment to have a show. We have a responsibility to provide a safe environment and your families shouldn't worry about your safety. Can you appreciate the safe environment.
We don't want to minpulate people. Alcohol loosens wallets, and we value people and don't want someone to leave a homeshow and spent too much money because they drank too much. We don't women to attend Rally and have a too good of a time due to alcohol, but because they lived Rally!
We want to appreciate the experiences of others. We need a perspective of appreciation. We are patient with you, and we don't respond to gossip, as we are patient with you. We appreciate you. It's a perception that sets us apart.
Home marking area: We don't market. You'll never see our jewelry advertised in a magazine or on hollywood or a commercial.
Our marking focus is our jewelers. YOU are our marking focused. We invest all of our dollars to meet your needs and make a diffence in your lives. We give you 50% profit, and we give you the opportunity to keep that to meet the needs in your life.
Appreciate the marking plan that invest in YOU as they want us to keep the 50% for us.
All of can walk the stage, and we invest in you by recognizing you and rewarding you for your work. We motivate you by celebrating YOU.
Home show plan: 30% in FREE Jewelry for our hostesses. Unheard of! Plus half-price items and FOUR bonuses. We invest in the best plan in America.
We don't need promtions as we've got the best and we've got the best plan to start!
We have the PB&J syndrome. Some of our problems are that we allow our hostess plan to bore you. This is dangerous, as you can't lose excitement for you. You have to show them how exciting this is! If you're excited, they'll be excited.
Promotions are tools. Don't wait around for them. You should be able to do your business without the tools. Attitude of appreciation and patience will build your business.
In Premier, know that our heart in our Home Office, we foucs on you, in Pray Services, Communication, etc. We are committed to you.
We appreciate the opportunity to serve. We want you to understand that you are the reason Premier exist. We are grateful for our founders, but to carry on, it rest on your shoulders. Our success in this business is through you. It's an honor to respond to you.
We want to encourage you and enrich your life. That's who we are. Those are the people the Horners have brought together to serve you.
We all need the perspective of patience and appreciaton.
Perspective and Returns in Premier- Bob Bolander- Philly Rally 2011
Bob Bolander- 14 years with Premier, Wife is a Jeweler and 8 Years in Home Office
Marketing Training
40 Thousand Jewelers- Everyone has their own perspective on what's unique and diffent about Premier.
Learn to have the same perspective, as we are relied on to spread the word of how we are unique.
Our job is to influence what is different about Premier and we all need to be on the same page with it.
Perspective- means optital glasses- rose colored glasses, everything looks good and blue colored looks bad.
Perspective is how we look at life, and we all need to put on the same colored glasses so we have the same outlook.
Three blind men stumble onto an elephant: one says it's like a tree (leg), another says a snake (nose), and a rope (tail)
None of them really told what an elephant is.
In Premier, we need to be unified in our perspective. Our experiences all influence our perspective. Our future influences our perspective. What we know and what we don't know shape our ideas of Premier. How do we bring them together?
Put on the glasses of two lens:
First, appreciate what we have in Premier.
Second: Patience, not acting on what we don't know or forming conclusions, and anticipate the future.
Appreciation:
Eddie Rickenbocker, who lived in Florida and every Friday he would feed the seagull the shrip off of a pier.
You'll hear him thank the birds every time one took the shrimp.
People thought something was wrong with him, but he was WWII piolet and were downed in the ocean. 28 days at sea and they prayed that God would work a miracle. They thought they would all die. A seagull landed, and they were able to kill him, and fished with his insides. He was thanking and appreciated seagulls, as he appreciated how they saved his life. Now that you know his story, you can appreciate his life and his own perspective, and not think he is a crazy old man.
Patience:
England and had a horse who was a friend who he cared for. People wanted to buy his white stallion and he only wanted to take care of him. He refused to sell him. The horse disappeared and others thought he was crazy, as they thought he'd been stolen.
The man waited to see what would happen. He was patient and the horse returned and returned with a bunch a horses with him that were wild. The people said what a blessing. He said he's wait and see what would happen. His son tries to tame the horse,
and breaks his leg. The people thought he was crazy, and he thought he would wait and see. THe war happens, and the son couldn't go to war. The horses were a blessing. Again, he is patient in what God's plan was.
Returns: If the jewelry breaks, have the right perspective. It's manufactured by hand and does break. It's a product that is mass and is bound to have a flaw sometimes. It happens. It's high fashion jewelry. Look and feel of fine jewelry, without the price.
Have hope and know that you should serve, but not frustrated. Apprecitate what it is and handle it with grace.

We make more money and we can share and serve and make a big difference.
There will come a day when money won't be enough motivation to keep you going in this business.
Phil 4:8 Whatever is praise worthy, think about such things.
Are your thoughts pure?
95% of us got into Premier to make money. What other motivations are there? (Jewerly, fashion, fun, others?)
Sponsoring:
In VA min. wage 7.65 per hour. 100.00 per show divided by 50% equals more than minumum wage. (Five dollars over min. wage)
Adv. homeshow are 400.00 so that's about 50.00 an hour. WAY over minimum wage.
Premier isn't all about me. It's not what's in it for me, what it will cost me, and how it will effect me?
Think outside yourself and how you can serve others.
God's will in starting Premier is a vehicle to change lives. Both your own and others.
Through changing lives, dreams and goals are fullfilled.
People see others in pain, and help them by serving, and then help them learn to serve.
Be a needs Filler- Find out the needs in people, and find out how to fill those needs.
We bring hope and joy, and give them a way to meet their needs.
We provide friendship, and show them Jesus with skin on who cares about who they are and not just what they bring into our show.
If we're only focused on us (promotions, money, sponsoring, etc.) then we're missing the point.
It is our responsiblilty to carry on Joan's legacy.
Everyone has value and purpose.
We belive in America and free enterprise.
People are our most important aspect.
Enrich every life we touch.
Meet needs personally of all we meet.
Live this philosophy and live it out.
Do things for others without a motive.
When was the last time you did something, a selfless act, with no intent of getting something back.
God will honor your selflessness.
Serve others to honor Joan and Andy's vision.
From Loser to Lexis! God doesn't make loser and He has a place and plan for your life.
Live in the life of acts of service and selflessness.
Like tithing. You will get much in return.
