Premier Jewelers
As we come to the close of another year, I wanted to remind you of things
you can deduct from your taxes by owning your own business.
1) Your sign up fee
2) Your payment for Hood and House
3) Gas & mileage (by entering on your Hood & House program, it figures for you)
*Remember any trip that you make for Premier can be entered, not just shows--
going to the bank to make a deposit, going to the PO to mail invitations/packages, going
to the store to buy supplies, going to the store to buy food for a show you are having at
your home (plus don't forget to add the food as an expense), going to trainings, going to Purse Parties and attending your One on Ones.
4) Office Supplies (pens, paper, envelopes, invitations, catalogs, sales receipts, stamps, printer ink, etc)
5) Jewelry you buy to put on your table for shows plus table cloths and anything else you
use at your shows (color board fabric, mannequin & her clothes, cases for your jewelry,
jewelry display boards, card table, we always take just in case we need it, etc)
6) Any prizes or gifts that you give away including bonuses you may offer
7) Equipment you have purchased for your home office (computer, printer, shredder, desk, chair, file cabinet, book case, any type of system to back up your records—you should consider getting one-- etc)
8) Garmin/ Tom, Tom to direct you to and from your home shows.
9) Cost of registration fee, hotel room, cab fare, food, air fare & mileage for rally (Regional, National, and Roundups)
10) Since you have an office in your home, you can take off a portion of your bills which includes mortgage, rent, electric bill, heating bill, phones (land line & cell), internet, etc. There is a formula for figuring this and it is based on the square footage of your home for the mortgage, electric and heating.
11) Your sign-up fee for Pro-pay
12) Any copying that you may have done at a Copy Store.
13) Any fees that you pay (example $5.00 for DDT).
14) Meals/or snacks that you pay for when presenting a One on One
14) Any gift you offer for a One on One (cost of a purse, gift card for free jewelry, etc)
You should keep your tax information for seven years.
